this photo looking north,landings are to the lower centre of photo, dark area to the right is swamp and darker area to the left is longer tussock (rip yor wheels off stuff), willow trees line the headwaters of the Orari river (exits basin through a gorge to the right). landings are made right to left, touch down as you clear the swampy area (varies with rainfall) uphill helps scrub some speed off. the hut is out of picture to the left.
