Scratch building: All of these parts lying down are mistakes

All of these parts are mistakes. Also not in the picture is a rudder skin which has been used to make all the ribs in the picture. Also two front hor. stab. spars which are made from .025 so they have been used for (L) strip. The main reasons for these mistakes is from trimming the corners too much and from the form blocks not being the right size. I have learned soooooo much in the last mounth, and hope to get my act together from here on out. Plans building is some tough stuff and take alot of thinking looking thinking looking drilling cutting and remaking of the parts that you just thought about and looked at for the last hour or two. So far its been fun, and I think I should be keen to find mistakes before I make them.

Hey, You learned so much from the mistakes. That's what counts. You develop a keener skill and knowledge from it. I'm workin from kit pieces and I make mistakes even from having the pieces already made.

Jessie, noble thought about getting your act together. You learn with every mistake but somehow it does not end them, at least it hasn't for me. Don't let it get you down if in the future you find you find your scrap pile still grows as you go along. FYI, I just made a mistake than I can't even believe I could make after studying how to do for TWO DAYS. I walked away for a couple of days, and then I was gun shy for a few more. Things going well again and at least I'm past the point where I will make that mistake again. Now I merrilly head for new mistakes...

Good luck with your build...

All power to you, I don't even know how one takes a piece of metal and makes anything resembling what you have there. Good stuff.
