Wondering about fit carb air inlet to cowling. There is a nicely molded lip in the cowling that would be nice to keep if the air box can be modified to fit. I haven't riveted anything as yet pending a decision. The other route seems to be to use the inlet as is and start cutting up the cowling to accommodate it.  Even then the mismatch between the air filter and cowling looks like some sort of "tunnel" will needed to move air into the filter from the front of the cowl.

This is for an O-235 install with the stock MA-3 carb, btw.
