I'm fortunate to know a machinist/ commercial welder (who was also certified for aircraft until insurance requirements became too onerous) who likes anything airplane! I obtained the curved plates from Zenith and the tubing from Wicks.  If I had to do over, I would have Zenith leave the plates blank so I could match drill to my existing fork and nose strut bottom plate.  Also, would likel cut down the total extension to 2" or 2.5"
