I swapped them out for stainless hex head screws with an area washer and a lock washer.  Got them at ACE. If they come loose again, i'll drill them for safety wire.

What type of bolts did you use on the pan and where did you get them?

Exciting place to be. Couple of notes from personal experience: I'd swap the oil pan bolts out for something that can be safety'd. I used stock corvair bolts and eventually they worked loose. I've since replaced them, but it's easier to do now. The air baffle shown in the front left of the photo is the one that goes on the back right (looking at the engine from this direction) between the head and the oil cooler. Lastly, I would seriously consider pulling the pushrod tubes and painting them white like the manual says. It helps with cooling, but also makes it easier to see if any of them start leaking.
