Hi Don. Love the 796.I have the XM aviator lite package.Just ordered the dongle from serial I/O to blue tooth the Zaon traffic to Ipad mini so I can get ADS-B from the GPS Dual 170 as well as all planes with transponders on the screen. I like the extreme mini as well. I will probably add AHRS to Ipad mini so I can use it in my 172 as well. 1450 straight floats were just shipped from Canada and we are looking forward to building. Tom, your panel is pretty much exactly what I want.  I fly with the 796 now and love it and that will be mounted exactly where you have yours.  I have also been looking at the MGL Extreme mini...how do you like?  Did you splurge for the AHRS or just leave the attitude up to the on board GPS?  I had that Alpha AOA on my last plane and could never get the thing calibrated no matter what I tried.  Don...

Just landed after washing wings in Winter Haven Florida. Garmin 796 with XM Aviator lite package. I-pad mini with Dual GPS 170 ADS-B using wing x pro software. Garmin GTR 225 com radio slaved to 796 so you can change radio frequencies on GPS screen. After 85 hours on plane in the last 4 months, I really like this panel.
