Hi Scott,

Many thanks for the reply and your offer to send me pictures of the decals. Much appreciated!

My email address is crittercall@hotmail.com

Looking forwards to getting the decals on the model as I think it will really finish it off nicely. I have found that I can actually color print on Solarfilm depending on the temperature of the printer and when I get it right it makes great decals.

Looking forwards to the pictures from you.

I was planning a trip to the USA later on this year or next year to see an old friend of mine (Tink Nathan) down in Kerrville TX before either of us shed our mortal coils. it would be a pleasure to pop in and visit you on the trip.

Will keep you posted.

Regards

John

Hi John

I just happened to see your pictures on the Zenith air site and was vary surprised. Assume job! Please let me know what you post so I don't miss a thing. If you  want detailed pictures of the decals I would be glad to send that to you. If you are ever in Texas please come by for a visit

Thanks again

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thanks very much for the comment.

Many years ago I did a conversion on a CH701 in South Africa. Ground zero altitude up in the Transvaal is 5450 feet above sea level. The 912 Rotax (80hp) battled to get the plane airborne with 2 up on a hat day. Even then I was thinking that the 914 turbo Rotax should have been fitted and that a Turbo-prop would have sorted out any altitude problems. Thanks to U-tube I saw the work you have done and decided that your plane would make an ideal RC model as I intended to power the plane with an electric motor as opposed to the messy and noisy 2-stroke power plant.

I have kept to scale wherever possible and the only exception being the landing gear which is a little longer than scale due to using a grass strip at our local flying field. The prop is a 12x8 three bladed unit and the spinner diameter is 64mm to give you an idea of the size of the business end as I tried to match your plane wherever I could.

The next step is the finishing touches such as decals etc. but as I do not have close up pictures of all the labelling on your plane, I cannot reproduce the same labelling.

As soon as I can get a video made up of your baby's baby flying, I'll have it posted.

Best regards

John
