I think that was a recommendation from Viking to ties the filters up with cable ties. But I am really careful otherwise with padded clamps and offsets. The reason that I had to replumb fuel lines, remount header and add header drain is that I did not follow Jon's instructions last time.I seem to get in trouble when I try to outthink and engineer for myself. I wouldn't have a plane if not for Jon Croke, Jon E. and GRT.
Yes I agree that it would be worse if in the open sun.

That was quick. I might be concerned with the lines out of the filters rubbing on that L angle. And I've learned from bad experience that zip ties will harden and get brittle with age. Being in the sun makes that worse, but obviously you don't have to worry about that here. I'm not saying I never use zip ties, but I'm careful about where and how I use them. YMMV.
