Looking for info on the enclosed trailers for 701s,750s that I've seen on the Zenith site. I'm a long way from a need but,  source/specs/plans anyone?   The 8'7" tail seems to be the controlling factor.

Ski flying info:

Here is some handy info for ski plane fliers. Take a look at Advisory Circular AC No. 43.13-2B page 39 to 48.

This AC give info on rigging the skis on most planes.

I have been trying to purchase a wheel fairing for the nose gear of my CH300. Zenair sent me 2different fairings which are not correct. It looks like I will need to fabricate my own. I can use the left main gear fairing as a pattern. Has anyone had experience copying an existing fairing? Seeing as it is not symmetrical I am struggling with where to start. I could use some advice or even a photo journal if anyone has tried this.

I meant No worries Sorry :)

I have just used the standard 3M tape on the mounts that came with the camera with now worries. If you Google ways of removing the tape you should not have a problem

Has anyone attached a GoPro camera to the wing of a 601 XL? I am looking at ways of doing this - I hear the 3m adhesive mount will be strong enough but it would probably take off the paint when trying to remove it at a later date. Any advice?

Does anyone out there have plans for the Dual Stick option for CH300?

Hi Sheldon, check to make sure your oil pressure gauge matches up with your oil pressure sensor. Newer engines have the Honeywell Electronic and the older models have the regular VDO gauge. There are two types of gauges you can purchase depending on your pressure sensor that you operate. Hope this helps. Frank

Is anyone using the Aiviasport oil pressure gauge that comes with the standard 701 instrument package, coupled to the Rotax 912?   If so, have you had any trouble getting it to work properly?

So I'm starting to look at wingtip lights. I found these Aveo lights on Aircraft Spruce, and they look great! Can I just get some thoughts? Are they good? Are they worth the money? Anyone know anywhere I could get them cheaper?

Everything helps!!

I'm going to copy an email I recently sent to Zenith.  Since they don't always answer my emails I thought someone here might be able to help with my question. By the way am I the only one who has emails unanswered?  Really, I bath frequently-------

Email copy-

"The nose steering on my 601XL is extremely stiff, to the point that it takes a huge leg muscle effort to turn it on the ground (not sure about in the air since it hasn't flown yet).  I realize there is a reason for all design aspects of an aircraft but I'm having trouble understanding why there is the centering block on this design.  The nose wheel has direct links to the rudder pedals and therefore to the rudder so if you center the rudder the nose wheel will automatically be centered.  The block with the angle and center slot seems unnecessary in this case.  This section was built by the original builder but I've measured it per the plans and it seems to be built correctly.  I've also taken it loose and lubricated the area, all without making it any easier to turn.  If I grab the tire with both hands it takes most of my strength to turn it stop to stop.
Can you tell me if this centering block is needed, if so can I make it smaller, or if there is some other way to make it work more smoothly and with less effort?
Thanks for your time,

kit #5530"

With no answer from the factory I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions anyone out there has,

dean
