Hey John, its a bit different.  The biggest factor is that there is no ground effect.  When you go to land it will drop quickly unless you have some power to the prop.   The 701 landing gear is not designed for hard hits, and will bow out pretty easily.  Keep the speed up a bit, they stall at around 30 MPH so anything over that is typically safe, and still will only require a couple hundred feet to land.  I usually come down at a pretty steep angle (over tree's effect) and then pull back and flare...with power.   I have had a couple pretty experienced pilots try to land mine and they always come down too fast.   There is a trainer in Kentucky - https://www.flybuzzair.com/   He is the best trainer in the east and will give you a couple hours of flight in his 750.  I went to him to get checked out for insurance as they required 5 hours of training and he has one of the few certified trainers in the country.   Happy to chat if you want - 607-227-4408  Glenn

John, Good to have another Zenith at GA2. I have the Zenith 750 Cruzer in the hangar, behind you. Hope to see you at breakfast some Saturday morning.
