Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I ferried a flying buddy up to Clarksville TN for a check ride in their 750. These folks bought Buzzy out. He has well over 30 years of flying experience, mostly in trail draggers, and reported that the training was good. They also have a 601 and a 650, but the 650 was damaged in a windstorm.
What is the name of the new place?
Mid TN Aviation Academy
Here's the website: Mid TN Aviation Academy
I've emailed them for further information, since obviously this will be of great interest to our members!

Interesting. I went to the website, and not a single word on Zenith transition training, under any of their fleet or training pages.
I was wondering: Since a LODA is required for transition training in E-AB aircraft, does the LODA reside with Buzzy? Dunno if that is issued to a business or individual.
I believe all of his planes are S-LSA.....Factory built.
Buzzy told me today he has vacated his Lawrenceburg facility, relocated his training school to Clarksville, and he is still with the school.
Guess that's good to know; you can't tell a thing by the website, though... Not even a picture of a 750 on it.
Ok , so I'm confused. Is Buzzair still in business or did he sell out. Cause I have sent two emails in the last two months and haven't gotten any replies. I hope he is still in business cause I plan to go up there someday soon.
His airplanes are at Mid Tn Aviation Academy in Clarksville, TN
Under new management right? I'm not sure Buzzy will ever instruct again.
I believe the school is owned by an x-airline pilot. I will go up there soon and talk to him.
The school is now owned by Don Stanton. I talked to him today. 7-3-2020. He bought all of Buzz Air's planes. They are there and ready to fly he said. They are building cabins for pilots to stay in at the field. Sounds very promising to me. I plan on going up there in the next couple of months. He says they are being safe and wearing mask and all. He sounds like a very nice gentleman. Can't wait to get up there.
