Hi Phil, Perry's talking about the little round thing(almost looks like a flashlight), just above your landing gear, attached to your struts on the last picture.

For the life of me I can't figure out what you are referring to...which picture ??? BTW if you look real close at the picture (series of three) with the larger tundra tires you might see the aluminum casting that is part of the wheel hub...other white marks you might see in some of the pictures are wheel / tire slippage lines...because I only run 12 - 15 lb in the tires I want to look for slippage.

Ok Kids,

The plane I built is used out here in Idaho and mostly cruises in the four thousand to six thousand foot altitude range I built it as light as I could - no extras, full five screen glass panels, heavy interior options, paint etc. Original weight and balance was 594 lb empty - probably ten more pounds now with the larger tires etc. Went with no tubes to save weight and all has been well so far.

Take a look at my pictures to get an idea of how sparse the interior is and also did not paint to save weight. Used the methodology of - threw it up in the air and if it came down didn't put it in the plane.

Most days I see 90mph true in flight and on the ground at 5300 rpm. Rotax ULS with warp Drive three blade set at 13.5 degrees. I did not see a noticeable drop in speed when I put on the mains - after the nose tire MAYBE a couple of mph but luckily I don't care.

Did it slow me down - probably - but I don't have the instrumentation to tell. If I was that concerned I Would add streamlined strut covers. Hmmm???

Didn't build this for speed just to dink around; hope this answers your question

Still grinnin
