<p>The attached picture isn't real clear, but it is very similar to Patrick's setup. </p>
<p>If I was doing it again, I would have left the cables a little longer. </p>
<p>I put a fire-sleeve around them to protect from the heat of the exhaust pipe.</p>

<p>On my 601, I ran a piece of aluminum stock across the engine mount, in front of the carb. Attached to that stock was a peice of angle that had a fitting through which the throttle cable ran. The throttle cable went to forward and "snaked back" to the carb. It worked.</p>
