suburu E-81 engine ignition control module
EAA Chapter 635 in Deland, FL is working on a 601 HDS with the Suburu engine. The ignition control unit mounted on the forward part of the engine shorted out. There are no makrings on the unit.
Can anyone suggest a replacement part for this unit?

This is a very OLD message but was that Ignition Control Unit you asked about also called an Automatic Coil Selection unit?
I THINK this is the 601HDS that I bought from your EAA Chapter about 2+ years ago. :)
Found out that the Coil Selection Unit was bad when I started working on the Engine. It would run on one coil but not the other.
I got the plane certified and N numbered and it's running on just the one coil but I've located the replacement part and should have it installed in a couple weeks.
YES the 601HDS I purchased from EAA635 is now flyable. :)
