For those Zenith builders that are flying to Oshkosh, how about sharing your SPOT track with the rest of us that have to contend with living thru your experience for the time being? Not only is SPOT a great safety feature, there's a lot of pilots that like to pull the SPOT track up in real time and pick out your flight path and guess the next stop, where you'll end the day's journey, how you'll handle the weather we can see sitting in our comfortable chair, etc

For those that aren't familiar with how it works, pull up the flight of Wayne Fleming (Rotax guru) below who left here (CA) Sunday in a CT with a Pietenpol, heading for Oshkosh. (Pietenpols aren't known for climb, hence the extreme southern route)

Also, if any builder is flying through your area, you can see exactly where they are in real time, and a familiar face or name is really welcome when in a new FBO, especially someone that is familiar with the area.

Thanks John, let us know when you depart.

For those following Wayne and the Piet's SPOT while waiting for John Marzulli, Wayne is drinking a martini in Monroe, an hour out from OSH, waiting to enter OSH tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Pietenpol (built by EAA Chapter 1279, French Valley, CA) pilot found the downside of a taildragger, and ground looped it on it's back earlier in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Wayne has a wealth of experience in the Rotax 912, and has installed several of the 110 hp and 120 hp big bore kits on the 912 that are now being offered. He'll talk Rotax all day long if any have any questions at OSH.

According to his SPOT track, it looks like John Marzulli and Bob Wood departed Washington this morning for OSH at 8:10 am.
