Hi all,

About to start scratch building 650.

Does any one know how many 12' x 4' Sheets are needed for the project? Or have an idea on a good starting qty for each size..

So far from reading the plans I need .016 , .025, .040, .125,

Reason I ask as I have to ship form interstate and don't want to waste money on freight or buying too much....

Kind regards Keith

You'll find lots of useful information at this site (including materials lists):

Good luck!

13 to 15 sheets 6061-T6 x 0.025 is what i hear with no mistakes

Thanks for the feedback....

Regards Keith

Here is a worksheet i prepared to estimate materials.  Each part is listed, with overall diminsion, quantity, material and specifications.  You can attach price list downloaded from AS to get an estimate of total material cost.  My estimate is .016 * 3, .025 *12, .032 * 2, and .040 *1.   Hope this helps.   I also have tube amounts listed for estimating controls and LG.  I have not started building yet, so I can't confirm estimates, but retirement starts in 10 months and I am getting ready to build. I am spending 2011 finishing workshop, work table and building WW Corvair Engine.   Good luck.

Hi Gaston,

Thanks for the info very helpful..

This is more than enough info for me to organize enough materials to get started.

I'll order enough for the tail section.

Do you (or anyone else) know how many cleco's of each size needed for the tail section??

Kind regards Keith
