Does anyone know where I can get this tool? How much time does it save? I have a 912UL up front.

I have the tool and used it once. Found it easier to just use a socket to slip the bungee on.

Is there a video on how to do that? How long did it take?

May want to consider the steel bungy from Viking. It’s real suspension, and trouble free. I’m glad I switched. 

Where can I get it? How long / easy to install?
Price?

The "socket method" of bungee installation is described in this discussion. It works well if you have room to rotate the ratchet handle about 90 degrees to slip the bungee on. Sometimes a shorter ratchet can be used, but you have less leverage, or a "flex head" socket handle can be used so you can flex the handle past an obstruction.  It is important to understand that you slip the bungee up the handle and into position by rotating the handle upwards (the bungee will automatically slip up the handle and into position as the handle rotates past horizontal), and not using it to directly pry the bungee into position.

Of course, another alternative is the new Zenith Aircraft "Donut" or Puck Suspension System. I think it is the best suspension system as it is quiet, near-frictionless as compared to the bungee system, and provides a dampening effect during rebound and compression very similar to what a hydraulic shock would do.  The dampening is due to the fact the pucks progressively increase and release their grip on the nose strut in concert with the compression and rebound since the i.d. of the puck varies with its degree of compression.

That being said, in retrofit situations, access to the nosegear support structures along the sides and above the area may best determine which system - steel vs puck - will be easiest to install.  But either system provides the huge advantage that it's "once and done" and not require any future bungee changes!

I found the installation of the Viking spring easier than replacing the bungee.

you don’t have to remove the front strut with the Viking.

put the money on the tool cost   towards the Viking and never have to do it again.

trust us who have done it, it’s valuable advice.
