<p>Hi Carl, I made the cover plate but I will not use it as is. I made it from 1/8" plate and it should be thicker. I have thought about making another one and doubling it up but Fresno Airpart's has one for $17.50, so you can't beat that.</p>

<p>Hi Don, the cylinders stay on. I installed my tubes after I torqued my case and cylinders. The manufacturer states that you need to loosen the rocker covers before installing the tubes, then tighten them back down. </p>
