I have 20 year old 601 UL and my fuel tank developed a pinhole leak near the fuel drain as well. I had it repaired last year and a new leak developed in another spot this month on some welding where the bottom of the aluminum tank folded, where it rests on a "ledge" so I had it removed once again and had it repaired by someone else for $80. I also reinforced the outside of the bottom of the tank with some thin padding that I glued to the bottom edge and spray covered the whole tank with rubber like "Flex -Seal". Hopefully that should do it. I really didn't want to buy a new tank from Zenair/Zenith for $600 CDN. If this doesn't work I guess I will have to buy a new tank. Marvin
