Larry, I'll try to post some pictures of my lights. I started with one an then added another I was so happy with the effect. Ran 1/4'' clear plastic line inside the strut for extra wire protection. The lights are from Bumper to Bumper , part # GTL 63301-5 par 36 worklamp $30. i run these lights on the pilots side, they help illuminate the ASI on landings as well. Know this is a late post, just nothin to do, surfing thru plane stuff, lol thx Pat

I would think that if the lights are in this position, they would illuminate the back side of the propeller and be very distracting.
I too have heard of somone who mounted lights in the slats, but can't find any pics. Sure would appreciate it if someone has any pics or a link!

Switch to LED lamps. They are no power hungry, and quite cheap too.

I have found a pair of red and green LED lamps at an electronic supply store at around $8. There is a control knob to turn them steady RED and GREEN, slow flashing, fast flashing, and very fast flashing. No more radio interference issue!

I came across this picture and I think that, if I am going to add some landing lights, I will put them there too. One point to consider is that you make shure to have a powerfull enough alternator. Those lights can consume up to 50 Watts each.
