<p>Watch out for soft spots (e.g., burrowing critters just beneath the surface, just plain soft sand) and make low passes to spot irregularities like (including, but not limited to) tiny gullies with vertical sides that are almost invisible, especially in mid-day when there are no shadows. Dry lakes with zero vegetation preferred.</p>
