Don't know about the distributor, but the rotors are, or at least used to be, Bosch GB74 with a GB73 cap. Problem is, a few years ago anyway, they were difficult or impossible to find in the US, and the US sourced 'compatible' replacements were of low quality. You should pose this question to the US Jabiru distributor at www.flylightning.net.
That’s the reason I’m asking. Jason at Aeron is working on this problem
Another reason why Jabiru is not a good engine option. These parts are discontinued by Bosch. Doubt they will bring them back for a few hundred Jabiru owners.
Jabiru's are very much still in production (I think they are more popular now than they used to be!) so they're getting the rotors and caps from somewhere! Are you saying Arion, the US dealer, can't get the proper parts from Jabiru Australia? Is this a "supply chain" issue??? (Boy, have I heard that so many times recently when trying to get parts for machinery! Ha!) I haven't purchased distributor caps and rotors from Arion and its predecessor, Jabiru USA, but I have purchased other parts and never had a problem getting them.
I have not tried these, but I found these part numbers in some notes I had. Part numbers are cap and rotor from NAPA. These were suggested as the correct replacements on another forum. I have no personal experience, but may need a set next year, so please post if these work.
