What is a belly board?
Intriguing- OK I’ll take the bait! So, you still need ailerons, so would we redesign the entire flaperon control system to eliminate the flap control assembly (7C3) but keep the aileron bellcranks (7C1)? That would take some serious doing. If not, and we would keep the original flaperon design, how would adding something under the aircraft decrease our weight?
I think the purpose of the belly board is to act as a speed brake. Flaps/flaperons would still be needed to provide more lift for slower speeds.
