Hi Charles, I should have been a little more clear, my plane has the 2 upper and lower hinges forward on the fuselage. my airplane is the 960 G.W. model . There one 701 in the area that I can look at to see what would be necessary to convert but I haven't been able to get ahold of the owner yet. I will let you know and thanks again.
Hi Charles, sent you a p.m.
I have the early style 701 bubble doors that I would consider letting go and go to the new style bubble doors if I sold these.
Make me an offer.
Why do you want the old style doors?
Hi John, In my reply to Charles, I'm thinking I should have educated myself a little more. I'm not familiar with the old style and new style bubble doors. I thought that there was just one kit. How does one tell the difference When I bought the plane it came with a set of bubble doors and 1 pretty beat-up flat door. The fellow I bought the plane from was flying one on the pilots side. The hinge attach points was somewhat cobbled because there was no cabin structure (hard to describe). My wanting hinge doors was primarily weight and I am just wanting to keep from re-constructing cabin structure for the bubble doors. I'm finding I am not quite the fabricator I thought I was. I see if I can figure out what vintage my bubble doors are and let you know. Are your doors the front double hinge style. Thanks for the reply
Hi John, my doors are the old style also, thanks for trying.
Hi John. I may be interested in your doors. Could you send me a photo of inside and out and let me know what you would like for the them? Thanks, Matthew
