Are you replacing the Corvair with something else?
Replacing it with Jabiru 3300.
Not to detract from the sale, but do you mind sharing why you are changing to a Jabiru?
Not at all. This motor started out as a 2700cc 80hp. Flew it im my 750 STOL for about 36 hours. Performance was ok solo but barely adequate at max gross. At annual noted low compression in #1 cylinder and head gasket leakage. Turns out had a cracked ring and leaky head gasket.
Since my 750 ended up somewhat on the heavy side I rebuilt the motor and upgraded to 3000cc (3.0 liter) 100hp. Performance improved but still not what I was looking for.
Options were to rebuild Corvair again to increase displacement to 3300cc (3.3 liter) but this involves crankcase machining, new crankshaft, new heads and new connecting rods.
The Corvair is a very good motor option but quite what I needed. It just seemed more cost effective to me to sell this motor and buy the Jabiru. I would also save about 25 lbs in weight with the Jabiru.
I sent you an email about the prop
I have not received the email. Make sure you typed a zero and not an oh in 5906.
I am interested in the Warp Drive Prop you have.
I am building a Zenith 650. WW recommends the 66" Warp drive Prop with the HP hub.
Is this the same prop that you have?
Are you selling the Spinner & Bulkhead / Crushplate Assembly also?
