After reading about another EFATO, and as an instructor who is paranoid about these monsters, I wonder whether others have created 'Generic checklists'. I developed the one attached as a pdf below, based on the checklist of 'TTFFMMGGHH' used at the Tiger Club in the UK for flying the oldest flying Tiger Moth G-ACDC.

Training in Africa we become a little over cautious perhaps, but we have developed our check list system with safety in mind. The TFGMHCS has two sides one pre-start the other pre-take off or vital action. I also run the checks whist 'rolling' on a long taxi and once again at the threshold, especially on short, rough bush strip. Remember we fly mainly doors off and work from mnemonics and hence we print the TFGMHCS, FREDA and BUMFITCH on a sticker on the dash
