Glad to hear all are okay. Plane can be fixed. Look at the experience you gain. Same happen to me last summer when on take off during climb out at about 500-600 ft my wiring went up in smoke, cabin fill up with smoke and I was able to make a successful landing and walk away.

I read one of the comments from the article which reminded me that I had the 496 track turned on during the incident flight. I saved the cookie crumb trail on the garmin and actually walked through the snow today trying to locate my prop....no joy. We still go a bunch of snow on the ground, but I am confident I will find it.
