I attached the wings to the fuselage today and fitted the flaps. Obviously the current position of the flap control plate doesn‘t match. In fully up flap motor position, the flaps are still extended by like 5 degrees (distance between top of wing skins trailing edge and flap leading edge = 15 mm / 0.7 inch).

The flap control plae (6-W-1CZ-3CZ) is installed according to the plans, 6-W-1CZ (see pictures attached).

How did you adjust the flap control plate to match the correct position for the flaps? I don‘t want to work on it using just „trial and error“...

Thx, Martin

Here are the plans from CZAW for the flap control plate.

I match drilled the connection between the flap arm that connects to the flap actuator and the two torque tubes going to the flaps. I installed the flaps in position and pulled them up against the stops, set the actuator to full up, and then match drilled the holes for the two bolts. I don't know of any way to make adjustments by measuring.

If you've already drilled the two bolt holes, and the flaps are down a symmetrical amount, you may be able to adjust the rod length from the actuator to the flap torque tube lever arm.

Thx for the hint! I will try to shorten the rod form the actuator to the flap torque tube lever arm (the two bolt holes are already drilled and the flaps are both down by a symmetrical ammount). That should work.
