Thanks Conrad...I had a good discussion with Jean Marc, but as usual it raised a few more in mind after I thought about things. If it would not be too much bother, I would gladly take any pics you have regarding the ski setup you had. Seems like my 8.00 x 6 main tires will accommodate the 1500 series ski, but the 1200 ski on the nose wheel will require me to go to a slightly narrower tire. I had matched my tire size on all three to keep things easy. Also wondering whether or not I would…

Appreciate any insight and other thoughts you may have on the subject. Thanks!

David if you decide to go for the datum skiis I have a few photos which might help with your set up. I am pretty sure that I have forwarded a series of the photos to Jean Marc.

Hi Conrad, just following up with you to see if you've sold your CH750 and if the datum skis might be available. It's that time of year and though still in my Phase I test phase, I am starting to look around for skis and/or go visit Datum in Quebec.

Cheers! and Best Wishes for the Holidays and New year...Dave

Great idea. Save the best for last.Be a bit generous with your time. Its a bit wiggly thru the pass that follows the road. I would normally do that Smithers-Hazelton-BobQuinn leg in about 1.4 hr in the C206 at 125knots. I'm not sure what your machine trues out at but I'm guessing about 75Knots at cruise? Anyway, you can do the math. There are no straight lines here. Always an adventure to see what's around the next corner. Your machine is made for this country. Good for you for making the…

Do plan on stopping in Smithers. There is another fella here with a 701 and a private strip at the NW end of YYD.

We would both love to meet you. We can arrange accommodations as well if you like.

Chuck, I was just looking at foreflight. Looks like Smithers to Hazelton to Bob Quinn- 2hr,Dease lake-2h, Watson lake - 1.5 hr. I will keep this route in mind and contact you on the way through.
Most likely I would travel north on the Alaska highway and return South through Bob Quinn Smithers en route to Vernon/ Rotax on the way back.
The solo cross country to Vancouver Island return to Ottawa was a tremendous adventure.
Now is the time.

Thanks for the reply Conrad,

You'd think with the dollar being the way it is, those farmers would be all over it.

If you ever do get out this way, do consider stopping into Smithers. It is a WAY more beautiful route then the Alaska Highway. I used to fly the North for a living and there is nothing like this corridor from Smithers to the Yukon. Maybe the strip will be ready by then so let me know. Just PM me and I'll give you an contact info if you are…

Thanks Chuck, I have had quite a number of requests for info... mostly farmers in the States. I think there is some hesitancy with crossing the border. It is in excellent condition, flies well and I am fussy with any snags. It is well balanced and enjoyable to fly.

I have dropped the price to $60000usd
Who knows?
My next flight was to be to the Yukon this May /June, but, I had a few extra family snags come up that made it unworkable.
Good luck with your strip and getting into the air.
