Hi All,

We are about to insure our club built CH-750 Cruzer, and to my knowledge it is quite restrictive who flies it. It will cost about $5600 plus interest, due to payment plan for a year. The early flights will be done by high time commercial airline pilots, with high time GA pilots later and then with lower time GA pilots to follow. We are putting hull insurance on it, so with an estimated value of $75K, one would expect a gambling outfit to not want to be left holding a pile of crumpled aluminum for that price.

I am wondering if there are any other Canadian flying clubs out there that are using a homebuilt, such as the CH-750 Cruzer, and are they experiencing insurance rates in the same ball park as above.

Regards,

Perry Delano
