I'm using the 2700 series.  I'm satisfied.  I've had a little trouble with them falling out when I've got the cowling open, but I've found if I grind a little groove around them they stay put when I push the retaining clip on.

Recently a bought some spares because I had lost one before I figured out grooving them.  The new ones weren't quite the same as the originals.  They were both flush set, both were slotted, but the slots on the new ones don't go all the way accross the heads which really limits what screw driver works on them.  The one I installed I used a little grinding wheel on a dremmel and extended the slot all the way accross the head.

Thanks Dan,

Am considering a combination of fasteners.  Screws and nutplates for the bottom cowling to fuselage.  4002 series Camloc along the top cowl to fuselage with plus flush grommets, and finally along the lateral lines of the top and bottom cowl joint, using the 2007 series Camloc with wingnuts).  Thought process being that I will remove the top cowl more often than the bottom portion and wingnuts will allow for easier removal.  The 2007 camlocs are smaller dimensionally and seems like they will fit better along the top/bottom cowl joint line versus the full size 4002 camlocs.
