This is the 2nd time I have had the "hat channel" under the seat crinkled, yes crinkled or buckled. Part number 7F10-1. Has anyone else had this happen? I even re-enforced with l-channel the first time.

Joseph,

Was wondering if you have had any hard landings or what you think could have caused this? Alos how did you find the BUCKLE ? Was there a dent in the seat area or from looking under from the access hatch? Can you post pictures?

Paul

Paul,

I will post pictures soon. I brought my plane into a hangar for winter and was just doing some checks when I spotted it. Of course this is the 2nd time so I was aware to look for it. One thing I did notice if you look carefully on the bottom side you can see the lines no longer are straight on both sides of the "hat channel". And yes I did have a couple of hard landings and I was loaded pretty good. I am working with Caleb the Zenith engineer to see if we can use a thicker material or add some kind of strengthener. I use the aircraft in Alaska and off airport landings are common.

Pics are on my profile...
