I'm about the start installing the nutplates on the fuselage floor access door and was curious as to whether you guys have been using the regular domed head rivets, or dimpling the surface and going with flat head rivets? Seems like the gap with the domed head rivets may be excessive...or is really not an issue?

Thanks,

Don

Don,

I just used the dome head rivets.  There are enough holes into the aft fuselage so I figured the little gaps here didn't seem to be any different.

Don , what I like to do ,is use tinnermans, instead, and put them on .016 x 3/4 slats, with a couple of flush [filed head ] rivets, much cheaper, and easier, I also put the leading edge of the door on top of the fuse bottom , just notch the front corners ..BOB

Thanks Bob; must admit that I had to 'Google' tinnerman's as I hadn't heard of them before...I've used them, just didn't have a name for them until now :)

Thanks Dave; think I'll go with your suggestion and keep it simple.
