They're in perfect condition in original box with receipts. I built the rudder at the factory and bought the plans later but life events prevent me from ever moving forward with this project.
Hello all builders or prospective builders I would like to sell my 801 kit that I mention above please see photos that I have if interested see link to the site that has the pictures below. The reason for selling is because I have moved onto a 601HD since it is LSA. I love the 801 but feel I may never be able to finish it now due to personal reasons. I am located in Elgin, Illinois. I thought I posted this but it appeared to have disappeared into the ether.. Still learning my way around this site.
I recently bought a CH-801 and am embarked on some upgrades. I would like to mounted a conventional VOR/LOC/GS "V" antenna on the AC. In most AC this is mounted on the vertical stabilizer, noticeably missing on an all flying rudder. I am concerned about structure and the possibility of flutter from shifting the mass balance of the rudder. Have any of you out there successfully…

Have any of you out there successfully mounted a VOR/LOV/GS antenna on your CH 801 with good success? (no adverse effects & no blanking out of the signal). If so would you mind please sharing your installation details?
Thanks!
281-757-7072 Rudder cable terminationstag:zenith.aero,2012-09-04:2606393:Topic:2365712012-09-04T13:23:02.460ZAlan Wilsonhttps://zenith.aero/profile/AlanWilson

I need to replace my rudder cables on my 701. The cost of pre-made cables from Aircraft Spruce is minimal so I will have them make them. With that in mind how would you terminate them at the rudder?

AN115 shackle on the rudder and a thimble? That is what I have now and I know it works.

Fork end swagged to the cable? But I worry about the end of the rudder horn not being in line with the cable and causing the fork end to bind. but it would sure look nice…

Swagged eye end and then 2 short aluminum plates and AN-3 bolts between the rudder and swagged eye. But then that may bind also.

Due to pending move, I will placing my building on hold. I have a completed rudder starter kit (from the Zenith Air workshop) and a partially completed tail kit. I finished the horizontal stabilizer, but did not start the elevator. Asking $500 for the rudder and tail kit. I can provide build log photos for the rudder and horizontal stabilizer. I have separate post about the 750 drawings & manuals for sale for someone looking to get into a CH 750 build.

Rudder tip ribtag:zenith.aero,2012-02-27:2606393:Topic:1996762012-02-27T00:40:49.159ZChris Craverhttps://zenith.aero/profile/ChrisCraver
Fitting the rudder nose skin, instruction say to not have a gap around the tip rib. Seems like the dimples in the tip rib make it impossible the get the skin close enough for " no gap" . How close did some of you get the skin to fit . The fit at the nose rib looks fine.
